The Baloch Liberal Army has claimed responsibility for hijacking the Jaffar Express. As per the statement issued by the group, the train, operated by Pakistan Railwayscucapg, has been hijacked and hundreds of passengers are being held hostage.

As per reports, the militant group have taken control of the train and stated that at least six military personnel were killed and the remaining 100 passengers been taken hostage.

The spokesperson of the group added that the operation is being carried out by the BLA Majeed Brigade Fateh Squad and STOS.

"I will work for four months as the chief minister of Delhi like Bharat did by keeping Lord Ram's Khadaun on the throne. Arvind Kejriwal has set an example of dignity in politics by stepping down. The BJP left no stone unturned to tarnish his image," she said after taking charge. 

The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and comprising Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, made some notable changes to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Information Technology (IT) Act regarding the guidelines on child pornography and how to prevent exploitation of children.

The BLA have further warned that the if any military operation is attempted,9x999 all hostages will be killed.

"If the occupying forces attempt any military operation, the consequences will be severe. All hundreds of hostages will be executed, and the responsibility for this bloodshed will lie solely with the occupying forces," the militant group said.

As per Pakistan-based Geo News, the assailants blew up a railway track and proceeded to open fire on the train.

Railway officials havestated that the Jafar express consists of nine bogies and has over 400 hostages on board. However, as per Dawn, Controller Railways Muhammad Kashif has stated that the train had around 500 passengers on board.

Speaking to AFP, a senior police official stated that the train has been halted in a mountainous region, "making it easier for militants to have hideouts and plan attacks."
